Before you enroll at a certified private training institution, you should be aware of your rights and responsibilities.
You have the right to be treated fairly and respectfully by the institution.
You have the right to a student enrolment contract that includes the following information:
- amount of tuition and any additional fee for your program
- refund policy
- if your program includes a work experience, the requirements to participate in the work experience and the geographic area where it will be provided
- whether the program was approved by PTIB or does not require approval.
Make sure you read the contract before signing. The institution must provide you with a signed copy.
You have the right to access the institution’s dispute resolution process and to be protected against retaliation for making a complaint.
You have the right to make a claim to PTIB for a tuition refund if:
- your institution ceased to hold a certificate before you completed an approved program
- you were misled about a significant aspect of your approved program.
You must file the claim within one year of completing, being dismissed or withdrawing from your program.

Admission Procedure
Strava College insures that all admissions are completed by authorized designated person, by making sure all admission requirements are met before admitting students into programs. The College admits students on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis whereby students must satisfy all admissions criteria to establish eligibility.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Students applying for admission to the College must submit documentation verifying that they have satisfied the following requirements:
Requirements: The student is nineteen years of age or older and high school graduation.
International students: Grade 12, IELTS overall 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 for non-native English speakers
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
The student needs to submit below required documents:
- a) Age proof documents such as passport copy or birth certificate.
- b) High school graduation certificate in English.
- c) Grade 12 certificate for international students along with IELTS result score.
Procedures
- The institution’s receptionist refers all inquiries to the student advisor
- The student advisor meets with the prospective student to discuss the program of interest. The admission representative make sure student meets all eligibility requirements.
- Once the student has decided on a program of study, the student advisor reviews the admission criteria for the program with the student to ensure that he/she meets all the criteria. The admission criteria cannot be waived either by the school or the applicant.
- The student advisor obtains evidence (e.g. transcript, proof of id, proof of age, etc.) from the student that he/she meets all the program’s admission criteria and places the evidence in the student file. There is no waiver in the admission criteria.
- After receiving evidence that the prospective student meets all the admission criteria, the student advisor prepares a Student Enrolment Contract and meets with the prospective student to review the policies that will affect the student during his/her completion of the program of study and to review the contract. If, after understanding their rights and responsibilities, the prospective student wishes to sign the contract, the student advisor arranges for the prospective student to meet with the campus manager.
- If the campus manager and the prospective student agree on a financial arrangement, they sign the contract and the school delivers a copy of the signed contract, along with a copy of all student policies and program outlines of the program to the student.
In case of the class being full, the student will be placed on the wait list, and will be allowed to join the course if/when a seat becomes available.

Strava College encourage students to attend all classes in the admitted programs. The attendance policy has been drawn to encourage regular attendance while at the same time providing flexibility / latitude to those students who are facing difficult or unique circumstances during their study.
In case of illness or unavoidable circumstances/ situations when the student can’t attend the class, it is the responsibility of the student to inform the college/ instructor in advance and follow it up with a written request to account for the absences. The updated student attendance records are required to be forwarded by the instructor to the office before the student can proceed for any type of work experience or preparation of transcript. While keeping in view some unavoidable circumstances, the students is required to meet the minimum 65% attendance in the registered program. The Instructor is under no obligation to allow make-up work for unexcused/excused absences. In cases where unusual circumstances cause a student to miss a significant amount of class time for reasons beyond the student’s control, the student should confer with the Instructor to ascertain if it is feasible to complete the missed work.
Students can request/report status of attendance in written Instructor or by email to info@Stravacollege.ca to get /update information. Strava College will do every possible thing to make this best educational experience for students.
Any issue raised based on attendance will be dealt as per Dismissal policy of Strava College.
Procedure
- 1. On admission all students have been given attendance policy copy and explained them the importance of attending all classes
- 2. On first day of class, student information is verified by instructor in order to prepare student specific attendance sheet for month.
- 3. Attendance is taken on every class room, practicum or any kind of interaction of student with instructor.
- 4. At workplace training, the attendance will be taken by concerned person at workplace,
- 5. All the students have right to ask their current status of attendance to instructor and instructor provides them related information.
- 6. As per policy, late coming and early leaving are being noted down for the student in attendance sheet.
- 7. As per policy there is minimum attendance requirements must be met and student is notified time to time about this.
Any issues raised based on attendance will be dealt as per dismissal policy of Strava College.

Strava College provides an opportunity for students to withdraw from any course they have been admitted. The policy applies to all Strava college students who are currently enrolled students in all programs. All withdrawal requests must be made in writing by filling withdrawal form and submitting all concerned documents.
A student can withdraw any time from any course or program by giving a written notice of withdrawal. The student will be refunded the tuition fee if any as per the provision of the refund policy.
Procedure
The following procedure applied to all withdrawals:

- 1) If Student notifies his/her instructor about his/her concern or request about withdrawal, then instructor will notify student to meet the administration staff regarding this concern.
- 2) The Administration staff notifies student about withdrawal process in detail and gives withdrawal form to fill.
- 3) The Student will complete withdrawal form and submit it to concerned administrative staff.
- 4) The Form will move to the concerned approving person i.e. Campus Manager of this college. The campus Manager may or may not conduct interview student based on reasons of withdrawal.
- 5) If interview is conducted, campus Manager will discuss concern of withdraw with student. If this is not resolvable, student will be granted withdrawn. Student will be notified about withdrawn decision. If student concern is addressed by campus Manager and student is satisfied with outcome, withdrawn is not approved and student will continue in same course. The complaints and dispute resolution issues mentioned in withdrawal form will be dealt as per these policies and withdrawal policy as in best interest of student and college.
- 6) The student may cancel the withdrawal request by making another written request expressing the intent to cancel the previous request.
- 7) In case of withdrawal notice sent by email it should be marked to info@Stravacollege.ca
- 8) The refund of fee is issued based on refund policy.
- 9) The approved form is kept in student file and all concerned instructors will be notified.

Strava College expects students to meet and adhere to a code of conduct while completing a program of study. “Student” is defined as including prospective students as well as those currently registered or enrolled in programs.
The Code of Conduct that students are expected to follow include:
- Attend school in accordance with the Attendance Policy.
- Treat all students and staff with respect.
- Refrain from any disruptive or offensive classroom behavior.
- Refrain from cheating or plagiarism in completing class assignments/exams.
- Treat school property with respect.
- Refrain from bringing weapons of any kind (i.e. knives, guns) to school.
- Complete all assignments and examinations on the scheduled completion dates.
- Refrain from bringing any alcohol or any prohibited mood-altering substances to the college.
- Refrain from making inappropriate remarks concerning another student or staff’s ethnicity, race, religion or sexual orientation.
- Any other conduct which is determined to be detrimental or damaging to the other students, staff members or the institution.
- Unauthorized absence may lead to termination as per attendance policy
- Any of the following, if substantiated, will result in immediate dismissal without a warning letter or probationary period:
- Sexual assault / harassment/ discrimination
- Physical assault or other violent acts committed on or off campus against any student.
- Verbal abuse or threats
- Vandalism of school property
- Theft
Students who do not meet the expected code of conduct will be subject to the procedures outlined below which may include immediate dismissal from the institution depending on the severity of the misconduct. Any concerns related to a student’s conduct shall be referred to the Campus manager to process in accordance with this policy.
Plagiarism & Cheating
Strava College considers plagiarism and cheating to be a serious academic offence. Plagiarism and cheating obliterate the academic integrity and honesty, which is considered the essential part of growth and acquisition of knowledge. Plagiarism and cheating compromises the values of Strava College, and is unfair for those students who pursue education with honesty and integrity. Any academic dishonesty is not tolerated within the college.
Plagiarism is a process of copying another person’s written work or idea, and claiming it as your own. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying written material from any source. (E.g. books, images, internet, magazines, textiles, etc.).
- Plagiarism ranges from copying an entire portion of a written material or small portions of a written material without the source acknowledgement.
- Submitting homework, written papers, projects, exams, lab assignments, software, or copyrighted material as your own material without reference to the original creator of the material.
Cheating is academic dishonesty. Cheatings includes, but is not limited to:
- Using aids, such as text books, books, internet, notes, photocopied materials, cell phones, which have not been expressly permitted by the instructor during an assignment, exam or project?
- Copying written material from books, images, internet, magazines, textiles or someone else’s work for your own advantage or another’s.
- Theft or solicitation of another student’s assignment, paper, exam or other academic material.
- Helping or attempting to help another student when not told to by the instructor.
Students need to follow Strava College Code of Conduct as illustrated within the dismissal policy.
References:
The criteria for receiving references from the college will depend upon the participant's attendance and punctuality at all sessions. The instructor may at his/her discretion to provide these references to be used in securing future training or employment. -
Students are expected to meet and adhere to the Code of Conduct set out in Code of Conduct policy while completing a program of study at Strava College. If necessary, students should request clarification from the Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator. Students who violate the Code of Conduct will be subject to the procedures and discipline outlined below, which may include immediate dismissal from the institution.
Dismissal Procedure for Misconduct
- 1. All concerns relating to student misconduct shall be directed to the Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator. Concerns may be brought by staff, students or the public.
- 2. The Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator will arrange to meet with the student to discuss the concern(s) within five (5) school days of receiving the complaint. If the alleged conduct is of such a serious nature that an immediate dismissal may be warranted, the President and Campus Manager/ Senior Educational Administrator will meet with the student as soon as is reasonably possible.
- 3. Following the meeting with the student, the Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator will investigate and determine whether the concerns are substantiated.
- 4. Any necessary inquiries or investigations shall be completed within five (5) school days of the initial meeting with the student.
- 5. The Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator will meet with the student and do one of the following:
- 1. Determine that the concern(s) were unsubstantiated.
- 2. Determine that the concern(s) were substantiated, in whole or in part, and either:
- 3. Give the student a warning setting out the consequences of further misconduct.
- 4. Set a probationary period with appropriate conditions; or
- 5. Recommend that the student be dismissed from the Strava College.
- 6. The Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator will prepare a written summary of the determination. A copy shall be given to the student, and the original will be placed in the student file.
- 6. If the student is issued a warning or placed on probation, the Campus Manager /Senior Educational Administrator and the student will all sign the written warning or probationary conditions, and the student will be given a copy. The original document will be placed in the student’s file
- 7. If the determination of the Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator is to dismiss the student, then the Campus Manager/ Senior Educational Administrator will deliver to the student a letter of dismissal and a calculation of refund due or tuition owing.
- 8. If a refund is due to the student, Strava College will ensure that a refund is forwarded to the student within thirty (30) days of the dismissal.
- 9. If the student owes tuition or other fees to the institution Strava College may undertake the collection of the amount owing.
Dismissal for Academic Reasons
Students will normally be put on academic probation for next scheduled course and given opportunity to improve their academic performance. Strava College will try its best to provide any possible resource to help students in this case. However, if students fail to make adequate academic progress according to the timelines and requirements set for their chosen program, he/she may be dismissed. When a student is dismissed, the academic record will indicate “Incomplete/Dismissed”.A student in any program who is dismissed will not be eligible to apply for readmission to the college for at least one year. After one year, students who have been dismissed from a program may be admitted to the same program provided they meet all admission requirements in effect for that program at the time they apply. Such applications must be accompanied by a statement from the Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator who recommended the dismissal outlining the reasons for which the student was dismissed. Compelling evidence must be presented that a more successful outcome is likely if the student is to be readmitted. All cases for readmission must be reviewed and approved by the Campus Manager/President and/or Senior Educational Administrator. Students dismissed from a program more than once are not eligible to be considered for admission. The academic record will indicate “Dismissed- Academic reason”.
Dismissed – Failure to Attend
A student who fails to register and/or becomes absent without leave from their program for 10% of the program consecutively, he/she may be dismissed from the program. The academic record will indicate “Dismissed”.The college must first make reasonable attempts to contact the student by e-mail, telephone and/or regular mail. If there is no response after at least 3 repeated attempts within 3 weeks, the Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator may recommend that the student be dismissed. The Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator must discuss case of dismissal and compelling reasons behind such dismissal, notes of meetings should be recorded for future reference. The academic record will indicate “Dismissed".
A student would be assessed till the date of formal dismissal/withdrawal procedures and may be liable to pay any outstanding fees up to that date if not paid earlier.
Dismissed – for Non-academic Reasons
Strava College reserves the right to dismiss as student from the program due to nonpayment of any outstanding fees as per contract. Dismissal for non-academic reasons would not prevent the student from immediately applying for entry into the program again. The academic record will indicate “Dismissed-Non-Academic Reason”. -
Strava college provides an opportunity for students to resolve grades appeals in a fair and equitable manner. The policy applies to all Strava College students who are currently enrolled to the submission of their concern to the Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator.
Only grades received on mid-term or final assessments may be appealed. Grades received for assignments or weekly quizzes may not be appealed.
Grades may be appealed at the following times:
- When any course work or assessment is returned by the instructor, a student may appeal the marks given by the instructor. If successful, the instructor will change the mark on the records to calculate the final grade.
- When the transcripts are generated, students may appeal the grade with the Instructor. If successful, the grade will be changed in the student's file records.
- When the final grades are posted, students may appeal the grades with the instructor. On review and if merited so, the grades will be changed in the school's
Procedure for Grade Appeal:
- 1. If a student is dissatisfied with a grade received and/or can provide evidence that a higher grade is warranted, he/she should discuss with his/her instructor within 14 days of the declaration of result. The instructor will reconsider the grade and, if warranted, assign a different grade.
- 2. All request for grade appeal must be in writing.
- 3. If the student is not satisfied with the outcome of his/her appeal to the instructor, he/she should submit a written appeal to the Senior Educational Administrator using Grades Appeal form within next 10 days after receiving reply from the instructor.
- 4. The Senior Educational Administrator will obtain a copy of the assignment/test in question from the instructor and will have other instructor/instructors re-assess the test.
- 5. If the student achieves a higher grade on re-assessment, the higher grade will be assigned to the student. If the student achieves a lower grade on reassessment, the original grade will be retained.
- 6. The grade will be considered final and cannot be appealed.
- 7. The decisions on the grade appeal will be provided to students within thirty (30) school days of Strava College’s receipt of the written appeal.
- 8. If a student fails exam, they may allow to do a rewrite subject to Instructor/SEA approval. The rewrite must occur within 14 days of having failed an exam. Student will be required to pay an administrative fee of $50. If the student achieves a higher grade on rewrite, the higher grade will be assigned to the student. If the student achieves a lower grade on rewrite, the original grade will be retained on record and transcript.

Strava College is committed to implementing best practice in its records management practices and systems. All staff employed by college will be required to apply themselves to the following written procedures and safeguard confidential and personal information according to the privacy act and the PIPEDA.
- 1) Upon enrolment each student’s personal details shall be filed in the designated student file or filing cabinet (lockable)until they are electronically stored and secured.
- 2) College Staff will record all student fee payments and details of refunds paid.
- 3) Student personal details and records shall be maintained in a current up to date condition, updating of records will be actioned upon receipt of advice of changes.
- 4) Student records shall be backed up electronically at least once every 3 months by
- 5) Data extraction should be place from database system every 3 months, saved on an external hard drive all student records removed from the Premises for safe keeping in a location agreed to by the President
- 6) Only College staff directly involved with student welfare and or student results will have access to personal student details.
- 7) Upon reasonable request and notice College administrative staff shall provide a student with access to their personal student records and reissue statements of attainment or qualifications achieved.
- 8) Upon receipt of written consent by a student, College staff can provide a third party with student’s personal details.
- 9) Access to student records may be provided to the authority/the administrator from regulatory/government bodies if required as per law.
- 10)College staff will comply with all external reporting responsibilities where required to do so.
- 11)Designated College staff will maintain up to date records of the employment history and qualifications of all staff employed by college.
- 12)Designated College staff shall ensure that all student academic records are maintained in an accurate manner providing for the safekeeping of all student assessment results for a term no less 30 days after the assessment is taken or as per grade/dispute policy of the college.
- 13) A fee up to $5.00 per page (maximum $100.00) may be charged for providing documents in case of any request.

- 1. This policy governs complaints from students respecting Strava College and any aspect of its operations.
- 2. A student who makes or is otherwise involved in a complaint will not be subject to any form of retaliation by the institution at any time.
Procedure
The process by which the student complaint will be handled is as follows:
- Student complaints must be made in writing.
- When a concern arises, the student should first attempt to address the concern with the individual most directly involved. If the student is not satisfied with the outcome at this level, the student should put his/her concern in writing by emailing to complaints@Stravacollege.ca or to SEA/ Campus Manager.
- The SEA/ Campus Manager will arrange to meet with the student to discuss the concern and desired resolution as soon as possible but within five (5) school days of receiving the student’s written concern.
- Following the meeting with the student, the SEA/Campus Manager will conduct whatever enquiries and/or investigations are necessary and appropriate to determine whether the student’s concerns are substantiated in whole or in part. Those enquiries may involve further discussion(s) with the student either individually or with appropriate Strava College personnel. All communications must be in writing.
- If Campus Manager/SEA is absent or named in the complaint, the student can submit request to President of the college. The student can send an email to president at president@stravacollege.ca
- The necessary enquiries and/or investigations shall be completed, and a response provided in writing to all involved as soon as possible but no later than 30 days following the receipt of the student’s written concerns.
- If it is determined that the student’s concerns are not substantiated, the Institution will provide a written explanation of the decision and deny the complaint; or
- If it is determined that the student’s concerns are substantiated in whole or in part, the Institution will propose a resolution.
- The written reasons will advise a student, that if the student is dissatisfied with the determination, and has been misled by the institution regarding any significant aspect of that program, the student may file a complaint with the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB (www.privatetraininginstitutions.gov.bc.ca). Complaints must be filed with PTIB within one year of the date a student completes, is dismissed from, or withdraws from the program.
- 3. The student making the complaint may be represented by an agent or a lawyer.

- 1. Strava College is committed to the prevention of and appropriate response to sexual misconduct.
- 2. Sexual misconduct refers to a spectrum of non-consensual sexual contact and behavior including the following:
- sexual assault;
- sexual exploitation;
- sexual harassment;
- indecent exposure;
- voyeurism;
- the distribution of a sexually explicit photograph or video of a person to one or more persons other than the person in the photograph or video without the consent of the person in the photograph or video and with the intent to distress the person in the photograph or video;
- the attempt to commit an act of sexual misconduct; and
- the threat to commit an act of sexual misconduct.
- 3. A Complaint of sexual misconduct is different than a Report of sexual misconduct. A person may choose to disclose or complain of sexual misconduct without making a formal report. A Report is a formal notification of an incident of sexual misconduct to someone at the institution accompanied by a request for action.
- 4. A student making a Complaint will be provided with resolution options and, if appropriate, accommodation, and will not be required or pressured to make a Report.
Procedure
- 1. The process for making a Complaint about sexual misconduct involving a student is as follows:
- Student/Staff must make written complaint by emailing to complaints@Stravacollege.ca
- Compliant must include date of incident, person involved and/or any witness if applicable
- 2. The process for responding to a Complaint of sexual misconduct involving a student is as follows:
- Any complaint received will be acknowledged within 2 working days and a response will be provided within 5 working days by Senior Educational Administrator or President.
- All person involved in complaint will be notified in written and a meeting is set up with each party.
- A report is created for each party with their concerns.
- 3. The process for making a Report of sexual misconduct involving a student is as follows:
- A meeting is setup with each party (person who made complaint and person against whom complaint is filed) to discuss the matter separately.
- A series of questions related to incident will be reported with accurate time and date of incident.
- Any witness information will be noted if applicable.
- 4. The process for responding to a Report of sexual misconduct involving a student is as follows:
- Based on reports from meeting with each party, a conclusion is reached and it will be reported to each person involved.
- If it is direct case of sexual harassment, person will be dismissed from school immediately and concerned law enforcement agency will be notified of all finding and reports.
- If school authority is unable to reach a final conclusion, a mediator help will be taken and investigation will be carried out as required.
- If complainant is not satisfied with mediator response, complainant will be notified about concerned law enforcement agency nearby where he/she can file direct case.
- Strava College will do its best to resolve it ASAP but if required student can file complaint to concerned law enforcement agency.
- 5. It is contrary to this policy for an institution to retaliate, engage in reprisals or threaten to retaliate in relation to a Complaint or a Report.
- 6. Any processes undertaken pursuant to this policy will be based on the principles of administrative fairness. All parties involved will be treated with dignity and respect.
- 7. All information related to a Complaint or Report is confidential and will not be shared without the written consent of the parties, subject to the following exceptions:
- If an individual is at imminent risk of severe or life-threatening self-harm.
- If an individual is at imminent risk of harming another.
- There are reasonable grounds to believe that others in the institutional community may be at significant risk of harm based on the information provided.
- Where reporting is required by law.
- Where it is necessary to ensure procedural fairness in an investigation or other response to a Complaint or Report.
- 8. If Campus Manager/SEA is absent or named in the complaint/report, the student/staff can submit request to President of the college. The student can send an email to president at president@stravacollege.ca
- 9. Strava College is certified with the Private Training Institutions Branch(PTIB) of the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training. Certified institutions must comply with regulatory requirements, including the requirement to have a Sexual Misconduct policy. Circumstances when Refund Payable Amount of Refund Before program start date, institution receives a notice of withdrawal (applies to all students) - No later than seven days after student signed the enrolment contract, and

100% tuition and all related fees, other than application fee. Related fees include: administrative fees, application fees, assessment fees, and fees charged for textbooks or other course materials. - At least 30 days before the later of:
- The program start date in the most recent Letter of Acceptance (international students.
- The program start date in the enrolment contract.
Institution may retain up to 10% of tuition, to a maximum of $1,000.
Institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided to the student.
- More than seven days after the student and institution signed the enrolment contract, and
- Less than 30 days before the later of:
- The program start date in the most recent Letter of Acceptance (international students)
- The program start date in the enrolment contract.
Institution may retain up to 20% of tuition, to a maximum of $1,300.
Institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided to the student.
After program start date, institution provides a notice of dismissal or receives a notice of withdrawal (applies to all students, except those enrolled in a program delivered solely by distance education) - After the program start date, and up to and including 10% of instruction hours have been provided.
Institution may retain up to 30% of tuition.
Institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided to the student.
- After the program start date, and after more than 10%, but before 30% of instruction hours, have been provided.
Institution may retain up to 50% of tuition.
Institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided to the student.
Student does not attend program – “no-show” (applies to all students except those enrolled in a program delivered solely by distance education): - Student does not attend the first 30% of the program.
Institution may retain up to 50% of the tuition.
Institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided to the student.
Institution receives a refusal of study permit (applies to international students requiring a study permit): - Before 30% of instruction hours would have been provided, had the student started the program on the later of the following:
- The program start date in the most recent Letter of Acceptance
- The program start date in the enrolment contract
- Student has not requested additional Letter(s) of Acceptance.

Strava College expect students to comply with code of conduct of college and is committed to ensuring that its learning environment promotes the respectful and fair treatment of all students.
The policy applies to all Strava College students who are currently enrolled students in all Programs and courses. While on Strava College premises or in the course of activities or events hosted by Strava College the following activities are prohibited:
· Bullying /assault / harassment/ discrimination, physical assault or other violent acts committed on or off campus against or by any student or the staff, verbal abuse or threats.
Concerns related to a student’s conduct shall be referred to the Campus Manager/SEA or PRESIDENT to process in accordance with this Policy. All communication related to this will be in written and a copy will be placed in student file.
Procedure:
If under any circumstances, a prohibited activity occurs, the following outlines the process for addressing the activity:
· All concerns relating to the misconduct shall be reported to the SEA or President. Concerns may be brought by staff, students or the public.
· All reporting must be in writing.
· The SEA will arrange to meet with the student to discuss the concern(s) within 5 school days of receiving the complaint. If the alleged conduct is of such a serious nature then an immediate dismissal may be warranted, the SEA will meet with the student as soon as practicable.
· Following the meeting with the student, the SEA will conduct whatever further enquiry or investigation is necessary to determine whether the concerns are substantiated.
· Any necessary inquiries or investigations shall be completed within 5 school days of the initial meeting with the student.
· The SEA will meet with the student and do one of the following:
1. Determine that the concern(s) were not substantiated;
2. Determine that the concern(s) were substantiated, in whole or in part, and either:
· Give the student a warning setting out the consequences of further misconduct;
· Set a probationary period with appropriate conditions; or
· Recommend that the student be dismissed from the Institution.
· The SEA will prepare a written summary of the determination. A copy shall be given to the student and the original will be placed in the student file.
· If the student is issued a warning or placed on probation, the SEA and the student both sign the written warning or probationary conditions and the student is given a copy. The original document is placed in the student’s file.
· If SEA is absent, the president will be the next person to whom this can be reported and the president will follow all procedures as listed above.
· If the recommendation is to dismiss the student, the PRESIDENT of the school will meet with the student to dismiss him/her from study at the school. The PRESIDENT of the school will deliver a letter of dismissal to the student and a calculation of refund due or tuition owing, depending on the status of the student’s financial account with the school.
· If a refund is due to the student, the PRESIDENT will ensure that a cheque is forwarded to the student within 30 days of the dismissal.
· If the student owes tuition or other fees to the school, the PRESIDENT will undertake the collection of the amount owing.
· All records will be kept in student file, all concerned staff and instructors would be notified.
· Strava College will do its best to resolve any issue, but if required complaint can be filed to concerned law enforcement agency nearby.
If student is concerned about any issue related to respectful and fair treatment of student by the school, the student can file a complaint to Private Training Institutions Branch.
Strava College is certified with the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training. Certified institutions must comply with regulatory requirements, including the requirement to have a respectful and fair treatment of student policy.

Instructors have been evaluated in order to deliver best services to students and college. This evaluation also becomes their professional development as they understand their problem areas and write action plan to overcome plan as well for future professional development. Strava College insures that all instructors provide best services to students and college.
In order to achieve this, instructors are evaluated on hiring as well as yearly basis. This is administrated by SEA.

Strava College students graduate or complete their respective programs based on their performance in each course and program they are enrolled. The college issue them certificates based on what they have completed in a program.
Procedure
In order to complete the requirements for graduation and receive Strava College Diploma or Certificate, successful graduates must have:
- 1. Passed all Program and course requirements (including practicum/workplace) with the required minimum grade or a grade required for Completion
- 2. Passed all Program and course examinations
- 3. Met program attendance requirements
- 4. Have an up-to-date accounts receivable balance At the end of the studies at Strava College or at the end of a Program, the student receives one or more of the following:
Certificate of Completion : The college provide a Certificate of Completion to students who have successfully completed the Course and have met all the necessary requirements of the course. To receive this certificate, the student need to have passed the examinations of the course and completed all assessments in the course and met all attendance requirements.
Graduation Diploma : Strava college issues a Diploma to students who have successfully completed all the program requirements including completion of all courses within the program, successful completion of all examinations within the program, and successful completion of the practicum requirements within the program.
Academic Report / Letter of Study/Transcripts : Upon request, the college can provide an Academic Report / Letter of Study / Transcript; these documents are created to address requests from students for regulatory or immigration needs. Additionally, final transcripts can be issued with final course marks.
Each graduating student will receive one official final transcript and one original official Certificate/Certificate/Diploma upon successful completion of the program after 30 days of completion.
There will be an additional fee of $50 for every official duplicate transcript, $80 for every official duplicate Certificate/Diploma issued to the graduate.
Hard copies of student's records are kept on campus and electronic copies of transcripts, contract and Certificate/Diplomas are archived off-site and stored as per regulatory requirements.

Strava College offer work experience ( called practicum) of 300 hours to students enrolled in Business Management program. For this, a student has to complete a work experience component and there is no monetary remuneration for this.
The students are obliged to accept the facility/location assigned to them for the practicum.
Procedure
1. The work experience is a required part of the Business Management in which the student obtains practical skills relevant to the learning objectives of the program and it is called practicum.
2. The requirements for participation in the work experience are as follows:
Completion of all courses of programs
Payment of all pending fee before start of work experience
Return of any material/equipment of the college as assigned by instructor.
3. The process by which the student will be placed in a work experience is as follows:
The student will send preferred host location( from given locations) to Campus Manager as soon as student completed his/her courses, at least 4 weeks before the start of practicum. The placement will be based on first come first serve. If student preferred host location is full, the student will be assigned to next available host location.
4. Strava College, the student and the host organization, will enter into a written agreement detailing each party’s responsibilities and the activities the student will
undertake during the work experience. A copy of the agreement will be provided to the student before the start date of the work experience.
5. The process by which the student will be evaluated in relation to the work experience component is as follows:
a) The institution instructor will ensure that the student is always supervised while completing the work experience placement.
b) Student will be evaluated by one onsite evaluator during work experience component.
c) The institution instructor will evaluate the student’s performance during the work experience placement on weekly basis. The instructor will meet the supervisor at workplace to evaluate the student performance on each assigned task.
d) Student will complete a weekly report of work experience component and submit it to assigned instructor. Student’s attendance will be monitored using attendance summary sheet for each day indicating Time in-Time out for work experience component. The institution instructor will immediately report any attendance concerns to the institution.
e) The institution instructor will provide written feedback and areas of improvement to student on weekly basis.
f) Final evaluation summary sheet will be completed by onsite evaluator and instructor; the student will be notified about evaluation outcome.
g) Student will also provide feedback regarding work experience component during or end of work experience component.
6. The student will be provided with at least one written evaluation in relation to the work experience component.
7. Strava College will monitor the student during the work experience by reviewing:
Each hour whether the student is attending the work experience; and
Each week whether the student is meeting
